Osun West by-election: Aregbesola, APC have been put to shame, PDP is not dead – Fani-Kayode

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has mocked Governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola, after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the Osun West senatorial by-election conducted on Saturday.

PDP’s candidate Ademola Adeleke, has been declared winner of the by-election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Adeleke polled a total of 97,480 votes, to defeat Mudashiru Hussain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who secured 66,116 votes. Adeleke won nine out of the 10 local government areas where the election held.
Aregbesola had personally led the campaign for Hussain, touring all the local government areas with him.

Fani-Kayode wrote on his Twitter page: “We won Osun west sen. election. Congrats to Adeleke! Where are those who said PDP was dead? Shame on @RaAregbesola and APC! @OfficialPDPNig”

  1. Bad people. I am grossly disappointed in Governor Aregbesola. Why would he make an attempt to deprive late Isiaka Adeleke through his brother. This was a man who risked his life and campaigned vigorously for him during his governorship elections. Too bad but I thank God that they have all been put to shame. This shows that the dead does not sleep all the time.
