#NotTooYoungToRun: At 35 Years, You Can Now Run To Become President In Nigeria

Below is the new age qualification to run for a political office as approved by the Nigerian Senate during the constitution review exercise yesterday.

Before now, a person must be at least 40 years of age to be elected President or Vice President, 35 to be a Senator or State Governor, and 30 to be a Representative in parliament.

  1. We also need the age limit when one is over aged to contest. I suggest 35 minimum and 50 maximum. Above this limit should be over aged

  2. I agree with the comment above but 60 years would have been ideal for limit. And above 60 as over age.
