You’re playing with fire – Fani-Kayode warns Northern youths

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to the three months eviction notice on Igbos in the North by some Arewa groups.

He warned that this time around, any act of war will consume the North who believe they own Nigeria.
Fani-Kayode said: “The northern youths must be warned and told in very clear terms that this is not 1966. Any pogrom or slaughter of Igbos in the north will lead to a swift, immediate and devastating retaliation throughout the south.
“Those that gave the Igbo quit notice in the north are playing with fire and that fire will consume them. They are opening the gates of hell and they will enter that gate.
“They are plunging us into darkness and we shall enter that darkness together. Nigeria belongs to us all.
“I urge the core Muslim northern elders and leaders to call their youths to order before they spark off a series of events and a crisis that may not only lead to a second civil war but will also lead to the end of Nigeria.
“This time around the Igbo are not alone. An attack on them is an attack on every southerner and every Middle Belter. And such an attack will have grave and unfathomable consequences”.
Meanwhile, leading pan-Northern group, Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, has condemned the ultimatum on Igbos.
Recall that spokesman of the coalition, AbdulAziz Suleiman, who read the ‘Kaduna Declaration’ to newsmen on Tuesday, called for mobilization “for sustained, coordinated campaigns at State Government Houses, State Houses of Assembly, Local Government Council Secretariats and Traditional Palaces to mount pressure for steps to be taken to ensure enforcement of the directives”.
“The North hereby openly calls on the authorities and other national and international stakeholders to acknowledge this declaration by taking steps to facilitate the final dissolution of this hopeless union that has never been convenient to any of the parties.
”From today, June 6, 2017, when this proclamation is signed, the North, a critical player in the Nigerian project, hereby declares that it will no longer be disposed to coexisting with the Igbos and shall take definite steps to end the partnership by pulling out of the current federal arrangement”.

  2. Fani Kayode - a big clown, you have a short memory by saying the north is playing with fire by the reckless declaration made yesterday by one of their restless youths.
You need to remember that you have made/asked/advised such recently. I am not a supporter of the disintegration of our nation but if you Fani Kayode have said and advised in the recent past, why cann't the northern youths do the same? All of you - biafra agitators, Fani Kayode and the restless youths from the north who made the declaration are to be punished and charged for treasonable felony.
In some of your writeups/articles/interviews you have once asked for the dissolution of the country as evidenced below:
1.) Fani-Kayode begs T.B Joshua to pray for actualization of Oduduwa Republic

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani kayode has called on the founder and General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T.B Joshua to pray for the actualization of the Oduduwa nation.
The former had last week, in an article he entitled “Give us Oduduwa or Let Us Die” said Nigeria can no longer stand as a country.
In the lengthy write up, he claimed that the north and the south have already disintegrated but only living in pretense.
Fani-Kayode in his latest tweet claimed that the north stopped Awolowo and MKO Abiola from becoming Nigeria’s president and now they want to stop Osinbajo. He called on T.B Joshua to pray for Oduduwa Republic. Kayode wrote, “They stopped Awo and MKO Abiola. Now they plan to stop Osinbajo and say no to restructuring.
“Enough! TB Joshua pls pray for Oduduwa Republic.”

    2.) Crave for Oduduwa Republic - Fani-Kayode
Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, has said that the older generation people in the South west are yearning for restructuring as the the younger generation crave for self-determination and Oduduwa Republic.
Fani-Kayode made this known in a series of tweets on his twitter handle @realffk

  3. Continuation ...

3.) Give me Oduduwa or I die – Fani-Kayode says as he calls for the division of Nigeria
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode, has again called for the division of Nigeria, saying “give us Oduduwa or let us die.”

Recall that the former Minister has been a strong advocate of the struggle for a state of Biafra, and has supported the leaders of different pro-Biafra groups in the country, most notably, Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
In an article he entitled, “Give me Oduduwa or I die,” Fani-Kayode noted that he cannot stay in a country with those who, according to him engage in underage marriage and kill their fellow human beings at will.

Now, the people you once and continually said you cannot live with said they are now ready to go their own way and do things in their own. You started ranting and advising them not to go. Definitely, you and your types are the ones that are causing confusion in this nation.
Everyone should now know that the amalgamation of the area around the Niger called Nigeria is like the wedding of Great-great great grandparents. Calling for disintegration now cannot work! What will happen to the children from such marriage? Will they cease to be family after the dissolution or continue to be family again?
Let us take the cases of Russia and Ukraine, till tomorrow Russia still wants Ukraine to come back.

Some years back, West and East Germany came back together 27 years ago as a nation after a long separation.
North Korea and South Korea if not of the strong influence of US in South korea the two would have reunited with each other.
Sudan and South Sudan who recently followed the the path of separation that we are looking at as possible hope are not finding it easy.
We should all forget about this idea of separation and separate or free our minds and societies from ethnic bigotry, nepotism, corruption, godfatherism, deceit, selfishness, mediocrity and sycophancy. Let us do things with utmost sincerity of minds, genuinely love one another irrespective of tongue or colour, engage in constructive thinking, stand for peace, progress, unity, justice and accountability throughout the breadth and length of this nation.

THE IGBOS ARE RIGHT IN THEIR AGITATIONS. WHO IN THIS COUNTRY IS HAPPY WITH THE NIGERIAN SITUATION. THE ALMAJIRIS IN THE NORTH SHOULD BE GRATEFUL TO THE IGBOS ALL THEIR LIVES. IF THE WORST COMES TO THE WORST LET NIGERIA DIVIDE. WE ARE BETTER OFF AS MINORITY IN FREEDOM THAN SLAVERY IN MAJORITY. NIGERIA IS A FRAUD RIGHT FROM INCEPTION. AND WE HAVE BEEN LIVING IN FRAUD. INNOCENT LIVES SHED UNNECESSARILY OVER THE YEARS WILL NEVER ALLOW NIGERIA AND NIGERIANS TO REST. LET THESE AREWA YOUTHS FIRST EVACUATE THEIR IDLE BEGGARS FROM THE SOUTH. POWER HAS BEEN IN THE NORTH SINCE INDEPENDENCE YET POVERTY WALKS THEREIN BAREFOOTED. AND THEIR YOUTHS ARE BRAINWASHED INTO THEIR BEGGARLY LIFE STYLE. LET THEM EMBRACE EDUCATION TO OPEN THEIR EYES AND MINDS. Jay 2, Abuja.
