Femi Fani-Kayode: Nigeria not united, Christians can’t build churches in Northern states

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Saturday opined that Nigeria is not united.

In a series of tweets, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chieftain wondered why people say Nigeria is united when Christians cannot buy “lands to build churches in core north.”

Further noting that Nigeria is not united, the former Minister alleged that Christians are finding it difficult to gain admission into Amadu Bello University, ABU – Zaria, “today.”

Fani-Kayode also frowned at the fact that Federal Government replaced Christian Religious Studies with Islamic Studies in the educational curriculum of the country.

The former Minister wrote: “How can anyone describe Nigeria as free when Christian studies is removed from the curriculum and Islamic studies are made compulsory?
“How can anyone describe Nigeria as free when Christians are banned from buying land to build churches in most parts of the core north?
” How can anyone describe Nigeria as free when its almost impossible for a Christian to gain admission into Ahmadu Bello University today?”

    1. Before God visits us, you'll be the very first to incur his wrath. As for Femi, there are no words to describe him and his lies. Should I remind You all that Reverend Hassan Kukah is presently serving in Sokoto state where NO single indigine of the state is a christian, then which parish is reverend Kukah serving at? Do you know the population of Christians in the core North that own landed properties? I think something is wrong somewhere with you guys.

  2. You are all Mad! Infact in this scenario Christians in the north have no problem what so ever concerning building churches and worship, compare to the persecution the Muslim face in the south east and south south region, where they strictly sell land to a muslim

  3. FKK, this one no sell at all. Infact at ABU, pharmacy department to be precise had been dominated by christain students to the point that the no Muslim can win a post in the student association of the department.
Now if there are no churches in the core North which ones do you claim in your former essays that were got burnt. Which one do you praised emir Sanusi for after he built back a burnt church with his own money?
The North only believe in action not write-up. We shall see.

  5. I vividly remember when our neighbour's son who happens to be a choir master in the church was posted to Zamfara state for NYSC that coincided with the time Yarima Ahmad introduced sharia in the state. The parents of the copper were so scared of their son serving in Zamfara and they asked him to seek for re-deployment, upon his return, he told them that he is safer in Zamfara than in Kaduna, so? All these people concocting false tales about Muslims and the North, please go and learn about us before publishing falsehood against us.

  6. One-Nigeria is a myth. Please read the 1999 Constitution which clearly shows that Nigeria is an Islamic State. Let us stop deceiving ourselves with one Nigeria nonsense.

  7. Let's assume is true that there is something like that in our constitution. But where are the legislatives of Christian religion?? , who was the Senate president as at that time??? . Femi fani kayode has never been to the north or far north, and anytime he takes Kay Kay and worked up from hang over he just said anything the hang over tells him. But Present Governor of Ekiti state Ayodele Fayose has came out openly and said he will destroy all Muslim mosques in the state attached to filing stations, and nobody challenges him and fani kayode heard it and keep mute and if it's tried it fani kayode will crusified him.

  10. Partially truthful though. I am aware of a church (RCCG LIVING WATERS PARISH) in badawa layout, Kano is finding it difficult to restructure its auditorium due to pressure from the locals and Kano State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KANUPDA).
