Aluu four: Court fixes July 27 for judgement

Justice Letan Nyordee of the Rivers State High court has fixed July 27 for judgment on the murder case of the four University of Port-Harcourt students, popularly called Aluu four.

The court fixed the date after all the lawyers in the matter adopted their written addresses before the court.

Seven accused persons are now standing trial in the matter, while five persons were earlier discharged and acquitted.

It could be recalled that the late four UNIPORT students, Ugonna Obuzor, Toku Lloyd, Chiadika Biringa, and Tekena Elkanah, were all lynched after they were allegedly accused of theft at Umokiri community in Aluu, near University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State on October 5, 2012.
