The president I saw today is healthy - Saraki

Senate President Bukola Saraki, who led a team of national assembly leaders to visit President Muhammadu Buhari in London, says: “there is no cause for alarm”.

Saraki made the statement to douse tension about Buhari’s health.

The senate president said Buhari was in good spirits, adding that he was delighted to see him.

“Myself, Rt Honorable Speaker, Yakubu Dogara and leader of Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan paid a visit to President Buhari in Abuja House in London,” he said.

“We were delighted to see that President Buhari is doing well, was cheerful and in good spirits.

“The president I saw today is healthy, witty and himself.

“The president’s absence and imminent return shows that there is no vacuum in government and our system of democracy is working with all organs of government fulfilling their mandate.

“And let me use the time-tested cliché, there is no cause for alarm!”

Buhari has been in the UK on vacation since January 19.

Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All progressives Congress (APC), Ibikunle Amosun, Ogun state governor; Bisi Akande, former Osun state governor; and some leaders of the APC had paid Buhari a visit in London.

  1. He's healthy and yet receiving treatment! No inconsistency?

    1. So if you have a condition and the doctor tells you to take a certain medication daily, and you are taking it and it is working for you, we can say you are not healthy? So, in your view, anyone who is on any medication should be declared unhealthy?

    2. I am in my sixties. For the past 15 years when my doctor noted that my blood pressure was slightly high, I have been taking a prescription daily, and it keeps my blood pressure normal. I have been doing all my work all these years, until now. So, in your view, I am not healthy because I am on medication?

    3. Did you read what Donald Trump's personal physician of 30 years said about him? Donald Trump was diagnosed with a medical condition and he has been on a medication for very many years. The medication has side effects, including hair loss and sexual dysfunction. Go and tell Americans that their president is unfit to rule because he is on medication. Then, go and kill your president if he does not succumb to your death wish.

    4. Baba sixties, why did your doctor not ask you to remain in the hospital for these years? Is the president not taking his med? Old liar!!! may God deliver you.

    5. Don't take advantage of being anonymous online to insult a 60-year-old man. You bring curses upon yourself.
I didn't think Buhari is in a hospital. I read the stories again and I saw nowhere where it says he is in a hospital. You really want him dead?
