Fani-Kayode reacts to Buhari’s decision to extend vacation -

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said that the country is “in trouble,” after news broke out that President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his vacation indefinitely

This was contained in a statement signed by the President’s Special Adviser on Media, Femi Adesina, who said his principal has written to the National Assembly to notify them “of his desire to extend his leave in order to complete and receive the results of a series of tests recommended by his doctors.

“The President had planned to return to Abuja this evening, but was advised to complete the test cycle before returning. The notice has since been dispatched to the Senate President, and Speaker, House of Representatives.

“Mr. President expresses his sincere gratitude to Nigerians for their concern, prayers and kind wishes.”

Tweeting moments after the news, Fani-Kayode stated that it is now obvious that Buhari is sick and Nigeria is in trouble.

“Buhari has finally acknowledged that he is sick and has extended his stay abroad indefinately. It is now clear that Nigeria is in trouble,” he wrote.

The President left the country on a 10-day vacation on January 19 .

  1. Sorry! What trouble is Nigeria in? Since the President has traveled, there haven't been any vacuum in the administration, since the President duely and diligently handed over the administration to his Vice before embarking on his leave. He's even now fulfilled the constitution in writing a letter to the NASS for an extension of his leave. I can't understand what the problem with this country. Ate you people wishing the President dead?

  2. It is not his fault, FKK. Can he do this to OBJ when he knew that he can "Igelize" him and nothing will happen.
