7 powerful politicians that will block Fayose’s presidential ambition – PDP Chieftain

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Ekiti State, Hon. Opeyemi Falegan, has said no arrogant or disrespectful leader no matter how rich or influential can be voted for, to lead the country.

The chieftain also named 7 Nigerian statesmen among those Fayose has offended and who will remain as impediment to his bid

‪Falegan said: “Except through a military coup which is no longer fashionable and acceptable in Nigeria and Africa in general, a leader of little or no respect for Elders cannot be allowed to rule the country.”

‪The United Kingdom based politician spoke in a release made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti while reacting to a statement credited to Ekiti state governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, that the greatness of Nigeria would be built on his shoulders soon.

‪Falegan described the governor’s statement as “a wishful thinking of a personality without pedigree and antecedent to actualise such dream.”.

‪”Disrespect and arrogance being displayed by Gov. Fayose against some of the leaders in Southwest and Nigeria as a whole especially those he believes are not on the same political page with him is worrisome and shameful to Yoruba race.

‪”Unnecessary ranting, vulgarity and outburst of Ekiti State governor against elder statemen like President Muhamadu Buhari; former President Olusegun Obasanjo; his benefactors, Chief Bode George, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, Sen.Buruji Kashamu, Sen. Clement Awoyelu and the late Ojo Falegan among others will at all times be an impediment to such a dream.”

‪”It is a wise saying that, ‘a good name is better than riches and gold’ and charity they say, begins at home. Anybody who cannot accord his kinsmen due respect, I think, is not capable to lead a population of over 170 million Nigerians, except we want to turn the country to a theatrical arena.

‪”The greatness of Nigeria depends on, competent and serious hands and not an experimental or comedian-like leadership. Governance is a serious business and Presidency for that matter, requires more seriousness, aptness and competence.

  1. The big fool like fayose is just ranting. Does he think Nigerians are as foolish as himself. Each time he talks, I see him like a drug addict.
If Ayo Fayose is diagnosed properly he would be found wanting of drug taken.

    2. Black Bishop, please name a single pedigree Fayose has and I'll give you ten disrespectful and arrogant behavior exhibited by Fayose. If someone has an ambition to be great or to achieve greatness, he should know how to control his tongue. You remember what the Holy Book says about tongue?

  2. Chief Falegan,no man is an island. Even President Buhari never knew he will be the president some 3years back. You are not God. God said he will prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies.I don't know Gov Fayose in person but i always see his hand writing on the media or some times Lenre hand writing representing him.
Talking about competence and serious hand not an experiment. What this present administration is doing to Nigerians is it not experiment. If our country is more civilized and agreed to do a Brexit on 7 leaders in Nigerian for one to emerge the next president after PMB,you will be surprised Fayose will come first or second.Even me i also wished and dream to be the Governor of Delta state someday, please is there anything wrong with my dreams or there's a special academy for presidents and Governors.

    1. Adinoboss, you are another dreamer like Fayose. No sensible fellow will buy into the idea of Fayose becoming a President of a country like Nigeria, only people with half-baked brains will think so. That he Fayose is so mouthy, insulting everyone not on his side doesn't make him a material to be a president. So, you both continue dreaming.

  7. Buhari with a mountain of pedigree, how market....??? Jonathan with Doctorate degree, what happened...??? Obasanjo with a load of experience, how far...??? To me, Fayose is closer to the grassroots, he has been a man of the people, of courage, and a voice of the voiceless....And may I put it into vote; between Buhari and Fayose, choose one.......! Well, as events are unfolding...
