Tuface Idibia announces nationwide protest against Buhari's policies

Pop singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face, has announced that he would be leading a nationwide protest, against “obnoxious policies” implemented by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

The Benue-born artiste took to his Instagram page to confirm that the protest will hold on Sunday, February 5.

Tuface wrote: “A call for good governance. A call for urgent explanation into the reckless economic downturn nationwide. A call for nationwide protests as we say no to the Executive, no to legislatures, no to judiciary… You have all failed us.

“We the people are tired. We can no longer continue with all of you. All your excuses and mistakes are not funny. We do not wish to continue with a system and government that is not working but afflicting the people.

“We the people of this country not living under the privileges of government allowances and remuneration have now accepted to take the bull by the horn to come out and protest this obnoxious and baseless policies and excuses of the government of the day.

“There’s need for Nigerians to rise against what is happening in this country having waited patiently for the legislatures that were elected to represent the people all to no avail,”

2face had launched a campaign during the elections in 2015 called “Vote, not fight”.

  4. Some people will sit down in their comfort home and continue to type or advocate nonsense. Let Idibia come to northeast for that advocacy against Buhari and see if he will not discover himself dreaming. Security is everything. Those that constituted themselves as economic inhibitors/woes to the Buhari's government are well known. Where was Idibia when pipelines were being vandalized and the country that depends on oil 80% cannot financed her budget again. What of the oil marketers that refused to sell despite buying from NNPC just because subsidy regime was terminated. Out of the 17 years of this political dispensation, this is just the fourth year the North is ruling despite being the obvious majority in all ramifications. Where is Buhari's fault. Suggest your own economic advice if you think his own is bad. This is the first time we have president and vice that are so godly and not interested in accumulating public wealth neither for their families nor friends. We cannot throw away this opportunity. If you are not lazy be productive and stop waiting for government.

    3. @Anonymous12:54pm. I think you are suffering from regionaliseases. As a result of you being from the North or perhaps you can afford three square meal a day due to the fact you benefits from Buhari administration. For that you don't care about other people or region. Asking Tu Face to come to North with threat to his life shows how myopic and brain dead you are. I cry for you and your generations to come.

  5. Now i know that Nigerians have a long way to go. The anonymous of 12:54 pm above is seeing it from the angle of region and perhaps religion. Since north has only ruled for 4 years, the APC govt has no blame but should be praised for the woes in the land. These are the kind of people that politicians like. If APC knew that they have no solution to Nigerian problems, why did they seek to be elected? Were they voted to be telling us the people that caused naija problems or to solve problems? We will all be on the street to tell government that we are tired.
