Following criticism of his performances over the festive period, referee Mike Dean has been demoted to the English Championship.
Dean’s decision to send off Sofiane Feghouli during West Ham’s clash with Manchester United and his failure to dismiss Everton’s Ross Barkley during the Merseyside Derby, have attracted a lot of scrutiny.
Although he has since taken charge of an FA Cup fixture between Tottenham and Aston Villa, and Stoke City’s victory over Sunderland, he will not be on duty in the Premier League this weekend.
Instead he will handle the Yokshire Derby between Leeds United and Barnsley.
Leeds are currently third in the Championship table, seven points behind leaders Newcastle, while Barnsley are 10th.
