According to the post which first appeared on Instablog9ja, the incident happened in front of Lagos State University, Ojo.

The 13 seconds video showed the policemen collecting N20, 000 from the road user.

According to Instablog9ja , the victim wrote: “This happened this morning in front of Lagos State University, Ojo. These police officers created a u-turn on the road , and when motorist make use of that u-turn they jump into the car and tell them that they’ve committed a traffic offence and extort money from unaware citizens.

“Mind you, the road is under construction so it’s only proper that ad hoc u-turns are made to ease traffic in the road. The name of the officer driving is Chinedu and the other one is Roland.

“They must be brought to justice. Please help me involve all the necessary people who can bring them to justice. I had to pay through my nose to get myself off their hook this morning. .

“The name of the police officer whose picture appears there is Chinedu. I think his surname is Iwuka although i’m not too sure about it. The other officer with the Nokia X2, is Roland.

  1. This happens in many places. Come to Berger junction in Abuja and see how miscreants and hoodlums harass intimidate beat and extort money from motorist under the very nose of Police officers stationed under the bridge and in the Garden there. It is believed that these hoodlums and miscreants allegedly work with police and gives returns to the Police hence police look on as they carry on their nefarious activity with impunity.
    Is this the change?

  2. Nigeria police the army and customs are on rampage this Xmas season. I travelled from Lagos to Port Harcourt yesterday and what I saw on the road is a shame.these security personnel are treating road user like a conquered people. I think there is a deliberate policy by this government to make life unbearable for people from the south south and South east.

  3. Take a trip along Sango - Idiroko Road through to the border. Even before you move to far, Nestle and iyana Obasanjo farm are a constant avenue to extort check points
