Tottenham Hotspur target Moses Simon

It is believed that Nigeria international Moses Simon could be a top target for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

And before then, the Nigeria winger has a chance to show the London club how good he is at close quarters when his Belgian club Gent clash with them in the UEFA Europa League.

Gent host Spurs in a Europa League Round of 16 on February 16 with the return leg in England a week later.

“Moses has again been linked with Gent, but if this move will go through it will be in the summer and not earlier,” disclosed a top source.

“The player himself wants to play in the Premier League and he is very excited that Gent have been drawn against Spurs in the Europa League.

“It will be a big chance for him to show the Premier League club just how good he is.”

The jet-heeled Simon has severally been linked with Spurs as his London-based agent has superb contacts at White Hart Lane.

The 21-year-old Nigeria international took the Belgian league by storm in the 2014/15 season on arrival from Slovak champions AS Trencin.

He fired seven goals in 17 appearances following his mid-season transfer as Gent won the Belgian championship.

This season, he has scored three goals in 16 appearances.
