Super Eagles players sympathize with victims of Uyo church building collapse

Some Super Eagles players have reacted to last weekend’s Reigners Bible Church’s building collapse in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

The players expressed their sympathy to the victims of the collapsed church building that claimed scores of lives while the state governor, Udom Emmanuel narrowly escaped death

A former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, Nigerian midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi and defender William Troost-Ekong were among the players that took to the social media to offer their condolences to the people of Akwa Ibom state and families of the Uyo church victims.

Enyeama tweeted, “My prayers are with the families that lost loved ones. My beautiful city Uyo. God heal the wounded and bind the broken. RIP to the dead.”

According to Onazi, “We live each day hoping for God’s protection, as life is worth nothing to some people. Pray for Uyo and Istanbul Lord have mercy.”

While Troost-Ekong said, “My thoughts with our Governor @MrUdomEmmanuel and everyone who lost someone in the collapse of the church in Uyo. May their souls RIP. Sad.

“My prayers are with the families that lost loved ones.”
