Sultan of Sokoto storms Enugu for Rangers

Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar IV, was on Monday, in Enugu, to attend the grand reception in honour of the 2015/2016 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) Champions, the Enugu Rangers International Football club, at the Michael Okpara Square, Enugu.

Many have described the solidarity visit as a bridge building exercise.

On hand to receive the Sultan at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, were Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and members of his cabinet; Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu; ex-Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State; Federal and State legislators from Enugu State, traditional monarchs among others.
