Python dance: Obiano backs Army, disowns IPOB, MASSOB

The Anambra State Governor, Chief Willy Obiano, on Tuesday evening commended the operation Python Dance inaugurated by the Nigerian military in the south-east geo-political zone.
He said those condemning the exercise had no reason to do so.

The  Indigenous People of Biafra, Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra and some rights groups in the zone had condemned the military over Python dance.
They argued that it would inflict hardship on the people.

Obiano while receiving the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Brurati, at the Prof Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, the state capital, urged the people of the state to the military.

He said “They are not Army of occupation as being labelled by IPOB and MASSOB,  and others, especially on the internet. “Nobody will be molested”.

He urged the people to cooperate with the  army in sustaining the relative peace in the state.

  1. If the traditional rulers as well as the democratically elected leaders of the Igbos are dissociating themselves from IPOB and MASSOB, how do these secessionists want to convince the international community to recognise their dreamland of Biafra and help them secede? Even among their own people, the are seen as rebels!

  3. The terrorist North is not been militarised but the quiet South is. How then is it not an army of occupation? The military will be there while Fulani herdsmen will kill and go without been challenged. How is not an army that came to invade.

  4. Big shame to IPOB and other militia in the south east. They have been brain washed by few individual. How much were they given for goodness sake.

  5. IPOB is not for you guys that are commenting rubbish here but for us who feel the pain and for your information governors are not necessarily needed in Biafra restoration because they are criminals and self centered humans but rather we the people are they ones to make biafra to come. Thanks
