Massive protest as APC supporters shut down Port Harcourt

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress party, APC, in Rivers have shut down Port Harcourt, protesting what they termed killings of their members, harassment and blackmailing of the security agencies by the Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, members especially during the December 10 re-run election held in the state.

The protesters numbering over a thousand carried placards with inscriptions such as; “The sacrifice of the police is commendable,” “The Police tried their best but Wike won’t let them be,” “Blood thirsty Wike on the prowl” among others.
