Lindelof to play final match for Benfica ahead of Man United transfer

According to a former teammate, Victor Lindelof will be on his way to Manchester soon.

Robin Blomme, who played with Lindelof at Swedish side Vasteras, has tweeted that Lindelof will move to the Red Devils for €45 million.

Blomme’s tweet said that Benfica’s match against Rio Ave on Wednesday will be the 22-year-old’s final game for the club.

Lindelof is predominantly a centre-back but can also operate at right full-back.

The Swede will compete with the likes of Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo for a place in Jose Mourinho’s defence.

Bailly could miss most of January as he’ll be away with the Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations in Gabon.
