FA Cup third round draw: Manchester City face West Ham



Manchester City have been drawn against West Ham United in the headline fixture of the third round of the English FA Cup.
.

The other big Premier League teams were however drawn mostly against lower league opposition.

Holders Manchester United will host Reading, who are handled by former Old Trafford hero Jaap Stam; Everton will welcome Leicester City at Goodison Park, while Arsenal will be guests of Preston North End.

Other draws include Chelsea hosting Peterborough or Notts County, Burton Albion travelling to Vicarage Road to face Watford.
Tottenham will square off against Aston Villa at White Hart Lane, West Brom and Derby County will do battle at the Hawthorns while Liverpool will keep a date with either Newport County or Plymouth Argyle.

The ties will be played between Friday 6 and Monday 9 January, 2017.

In last year’s final, 10-man Manchester United defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 after extra-time.
