LA Galaxy have released a statement confirming that midfielder Steven Gerrard has left the club following the conclusion of his contract.
Former Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard has confirmed he will leave MLS club LA Galaxy and take time to consider his future.
Gerrard, 36, joined in Galaxy in 2015 and scored five goals in 34 appearances during two seasons in America, but his contract will expire next month.
"I am looking forward to spending time with my family as I consider the next stage of my career," said Gerrard.
Galaxy lost in the MLS play-offs to Colorado Rapids on 6 November.
