NNL Super Four to kick off on Tuesday

The Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Four, which will determine the overall winner of last season’s lower league campaign, will commence in Gombe next week.

It is scheduled to hold between November 22 and 26.

This was revealed in a circular by the league office, signed by Lawrence Katken. He explained that the Gombe Government has approved the hosting of the tournament in the state.

The Super Four will involve the four newly promoted clubs: ABS FC, Gombe United, Katsina United and Remo Stars.

Each club will be allowed to register seven new players, to help them field fresh faces, as they prepare for the new Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

“All the four clubs involved in the Super Four tournament are expected to arrive Gombe State on Monday November 21st for accreditation and other formalities,” the statement read.

“We are expecting the champions of the NNL to emerge at the end of the tournament and we enjoin all the clubs to play according to the rules and also eschew violence.”
