Mavin Records beats Sony Music, Def Jam to become the label with the highest number of followers

Mavin Records made history today, November 11, 2016 by becoming the first record label in Africa to accumulate 1 million followers on Instagram.


The leading Nigerian label, owned by legendary music producer, Don Jazzy also beats world's biggest labels like Universal Music Group (8,728k), Sony Music Entertainment (48k), Warner Music Group  (5,478), Def Jam Records (338k), Atlantic Records (174k), Maybach Music Group (155k), Cash Money Records (37.9k), Ovo Sound (203k) among others to hit the 1 million mark on the online mobile photo/video-sharing and social networking platform.

Speaking on the feat, Don Jazzy said: ' On behalf of Supreme Mavin Dynasty(SMD), It is my pleasure to announce to you that the record label has just hit one million followers on Instagram and sincerely, we owe it to you all our fans out there.’

Continuing, the hit-maker added, ‘Just as we all know that the social media is a very strong media of interaction among people today, we see this new achievement of hitting a million followers as no mean feat for which we would always appreciate everyone following us on any of our social media platforms.
