Heartland Appoint Cameroonian Emmanuel Deutsch As New Coach

Heartland Football Club of Owerri have appointed Cameroonian Emmanuel Deutsch as their new head coach.

Deutsch, who is back for his second spell in charge of the Naze Millionaires, will look to help them secure an immediate return to the Nigeria Professional Football League following their relegation to the Nigeria National League last season.

He took over from Ramson Madu who was in charge of the team during their ill-fated NPFL campaign last term.

The experienced coach has had stints with Akwa United and JUTH FC.

“I’m here for serious work, but I would need the support of the fans, media and the management,” Deutsch said following his unveiling on Wednesday.

Heartland, one of the most successful clubs in the Nigerian top flight, were relegated for the first time following a 1-1 draw against Plateau United on the final day of last season.
