Whoever EFCC arrests for corruption must be guilty - Magu

The acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has reaffirmed that the ongoing anti-corruption fight is not selective.

Magu said before anyone is arrested, the Commission would have, after a thorough investigation, established that the individual is guilty.

He stated this in Kaduna on Monday, October 24 while speaking on the sideline of the National Open Government Partnership retreat.

"We don’t just arrest somebody who has no case to answer," Magu said while urging Nigerians to see the war against corruption as a collective fight.

He added: "I’m here today because this event hás to do with transparency and accountability in governance and you should know that anything that has to do with fighting corruption is an area of interest to me".

  1. MR MAGU, prove to us that the war against corruption is not selective by probing Rotimi Amechi. Several fingers are pointing at him yet EFCC is blind to that fact....
    NONSENSE.....

  7. Magu is right. Afterall, they are already declared guilty before investigation. Get the DSS to remove any Judge who may pose an obstacle because these people must be declared guilty. As for evidence, just arrest their cousins and force them to make confessional statements. The end justifies the means
Bravo to EFCC: The prosecutor, the arrestor, the judge
Bravo to DSS the huge of judges
You are not fooling anybody in your war on corruption using a corrupt means. Just that the citizens are powerless against your mighy
