Super Eagles To Train In Zambia 4pm Today

Nigeria Super Eagles will have a first feel of the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium pitch in Ndola by 4pm Nigerian time, officials have disclosed.

Eagles spokesman Toyin Ibitoye disclosed this before the team departed Saturday morning for Zambia on board a chartered flight.

The flight to Ndola is five hours and the team finally left Abuja 6.24am today.

The 126 people on the flight will be granted their entry visas at the point of entry.

They will rest and have lunch thereafter before they then head to training.

Kick-off time for Sunday's showdown is 1.30pm Nigerian time.

It will be hot during Sunday’s game with no signs of rain.

Locals insist the Ndola Stadium pitch is good contrary to the fears being expressed in Nigeria.

“It looked bad on TV when Zambia hosted Kenya last month because it was not watered, but it is smooth and not bumpy,” reported a top sports editor in Zambia.
