Super Eagles’ coaches must work on deficiencies after Zambia game - Baraje

Plateau United coach, Zachary Baraje wants coach Gernot Rohr and his technical crew to work on the deficiencies noticed in the Super Eagles’ victory against Zambia.

Collins Mbesuma’s second half goal launched a comeback for coach Nyirenda’s men after the visitors had gone two goals up in the first half courtesy Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho.

“Everyone is happy with the win and I want to congratulate the Eagles for putting smiles on the faces of Nigerians again,” Baraje told reporters.

“The first half performance was nice but the technical crew must sit and ponder on the second half outing if we are to excel in future matches.

“We almost conceded cheap goals that could have turned the result of the match the other way round. We cannot afford to make similar mistakes against Algeria and Cameroon who are our other group opponents.”

Nigeria lead Group B with three points while Cameroon and Algeria are second and third respectively having settled for a 1-1 draw.
