NFF President Delighted With Zambia win

Nigeria Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick has commended the Super Eagles following their 2-1 victory over Zambia at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The administrator, who was part of the delegation to Ndola said picking three points against the Chipolopolo was a good way to start, but insisted that the team must ensure they beat Algeria in their next home game in Uyo.

“We commend the efforts of the players and the technical crew, and we thank the minister of sports for his words of encouragement before the match. Pinnick told NFF media

“We are happy with the three points but it is a marathon, not a sprint.

“We still have five matches to play. We will take it one match at a time. Next stop is ‘Operation Beat Algeria.”

Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi were the goals scorer for Nigeria while Collins Mbesuma reduced deficit for the home team in the 71st minute after benefiting from Kenneth Omeruo’s blunder.
