2018 World Cup Qualifier: Super Eagles Off To Ndola For Zambia Clash

The Super Eagles departed from Nigeria for Ndola on Saturday for Sunday's 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia without receiving their promised outstanding bonuses and allowances from the Nigerian Football Federation.

The team took at about 5am from the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport aboard Arik Air for Ndola, Zambia.

The players had reportedly been promised that all the money they spent on their flight tickets would be refunded on Friday.

But a player who pleaded anonymity disclosed to journalists that they are yet to be paid what is due to them and it is however uncertain if the NFF will keep to their word.

"We have lost faith in them. We are just going to do Nigerians proud and get a win to give us a good start," the player told journalists.
