Presidency explains why Buhari's children were present at UN General Assembly

Spokesperson to President Muhammadu Buhari, Garba Shehu, on Wednesday, has addressed questions about Zahra and Halima Buhari's presence at the ongoing United Nations General Assembly.

Shehu claimed that the family paid for their own trip, although he offered no proof of payment.

He also declined to state why they had to attend the UNGA. It is unprecedented for a Nigerian President to travel with his kids for the UNGA.

    1. The President really needs to say something because it is not about them paying for it, but about turning a serious international program to a holiday tour with one of the daughters twitting to her friends on how boring the program is, and how she doesn't know why she shouldn't be shopping in preparation for the party at night that would see her meet all the other presidents daughters also in attendance.

  2. Why not the family pay for relevant people in the country instead of doing it for fun.

  7. Garba Shehu, please can you show us the ticket they traveled on. And secondly how did they get the money for their air fare since their dad the President borrowed money to buy nomination form and the last time I checked, these girls are not working. EFCC should freeze their accounts and call them in for questioning on the sources their money or write an reserved apology to Patience Jonathan. Let's stop paying lip service to the fight against corruption.

  8. It is good to travel with your family and showcase them rather than travel with girl friends (mosquito) who will be sleeping in hotel rooms. I travel with my family sometimes when on official assignment and i pay from my pocket not the company. Young girls of these days, they may be sampling for world class husbands. Lol
