Chelsea midfielder Mikel Obi has denied claims made by John Terry that the Nigeria captain the ‘sleepy one’ in the Blues squad but rather insists Victor Moses is the worst culprit.
Terry in April had cheekily mentioned Mikel as the worst sleeper in the Chelsea squad.
But in reponse to his club’s captain, Mikel, who looks set to make his first appearance for Antonio Conte’s side in Tuesday night’s EFL Cup clash against Leicester at the King Power stadium, said Moses falls asleep at the oddest times and places.
Mikel said in a promotional video for the FootiEmoji app: “I don’t know where he (Terry) got that from but obviously I don’t sleep that much. Definitely, he got it all wrong there.”
“It’s Victor. Because sometimes you think he (Moses) is there and he’s not. He’s gone (asleep).”
Mikel is one game away from reaching a milestone of 250 games for Chelsea having spent a decade at the club.
Mikel the truth is bitter.. So don't try to play Terry's statement down.bTerry was talking about work rate during a game mark yo. So don't be clever by half joor. If you like win everything in Chelsea but they were all won in the bench and with below average performance.
