President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday reiterated his administration’s stance to adhere to the rule of law in the fight against corruption.
In a statement by the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, Buhari said the government had not mistreated those standing corruption trials in any ways, adding that the administration would continue to ensure justice and fairness to all.
He said those who abuses public trust would be made to stand justice.
The President thanked Nigerians for supporting the the policies, programmes and actions of the Federal Government aimed at improving security, revamping the economy and combating corruption.
“We should thank God this year; the report I’m getting, which is very pleasing, is that we will have bumper harvest this year.
“I want Nigerians to realise that what this government inherited after 16 years of PDP government was no savings, no infrastructure, no power, no rail, no road and no security.
“Nigerians can see what we have done to Boko Haram and what we are doing to resolve the problem in the Niger Delta,’’ he said.
Rule of law is not all about ensuring that the accused gets fair treatment and justice; It also means that corrupt members of your cabinet, Buratai and the likes face the law. Use the same rules for others on members of your cabinet. That is the rule of law too.

ReplyDeleteWhat you claim to be rule of all law is relative to you! You have consistently disobeyed or out rightly disregarded court orders. Is this what you claim to be rule of law. You are still a soldier with little or no understanding of what civil rule is all about. You are still leaving in 1983/84.
