Hon Jibrin denies £1.3m UK bank account, claims documents are fake

Former Chairman of the House of Representatives committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has denied allegations that he operates an account with ING bank in the UK and has a balance of £1.3m in the account.

The denial was made via his twitter handle @AbdulAbmJ. Jibrin described the document attached to the report as fake, saying he does not own such an account, balance attributed and has nothing to do with the Essex address.

He described the media report as part of a wider propaganda scheme directed by Mr. Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House of Representatives, using his Deputy Chief of Staff Mr. CID Maduebum.

  1. Where was this account all this while. The documents never existed until Mr. Jibrin exposed the ill-doings in the lower chamber of the National Assembly. It simply says how dirty we are as a Nation and also that what Nigeria is going through is stage-managed to a large extent by some powers outside the boundaries of this country. It is really unfortunate.
