Former House of Representatives Chairman on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin is currently absent as the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges commences investigative hearing into the budget padding allegation on Friday.
The hearing is presided over by the committee Chairman, Nicholas Ossai.
Recall that Jibrin had accused the House Speaker, Yakubu Dogara and other principal officers of padding the 2016 budget .
to the tune of over N40bn.
The hearing is coming barely 48 hours after the House mandated the Ethics committee to probe allegations of misconduct against Jibrin.
He had earlier threatened to boycott the probe.
