Economic Recession: Osinbajo, Governors in crucial meeting

Apparently trying to find solutions to the nation’s plummeting economy, Nigerian governors, are currently meeting with the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the State House, Abuja.


The meeting, which started shortly after 11 am at the Council Chamber, had no fewer than 23 State governors in attendance and held under the auspices of the National Economic Council (NEC).

Among the governor in attendance are: Ekiti – Ayo Fayose, Kebbi – Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Delta – Ifeanyi Okowa, Bauchi – Abubakar Mohammed, Anambra – Willy Obiano, Enugu – Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Kwara – Abdufatah Ahmed, Kogi – Yahaya Bello, Kaduna – Nasir el-Rufai, Ondo – Olusegun Mimiko, Sokoto – Aminu Tambuwal, Oyo – Abiola Ajimobi, Jigawa – Badaru Abubakar.

Rivers, Nasarawa, Katsina and Lagos state governors are being represented by their deputy governors. The meeting was still in progress at the time of this report.
