Date Fixed For The Funeral Of Ighalo's Father

The date has been set for the funeral of the father of Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo.


Pa Paul Ighalo who is the father of the Watford striker, died in the early hours of Monday, April 25.

Ighalo took to social media to announce the passing of his dad,Pa Paul Ighalo in the early hours of Monday, April 25.

The Watford striker later revealed that his father died in his sleep just days after he was treated in a hospital.

Pa Ighalo had complained of weakness before he was taken to the hospital.

The striker will arrive the country during the next international break for the funeral.

The funeral will kick-off at the Ighalo family compound at number 58 Salami Street, Green Land area of Ajegunle, Lagos State before they travel to their village, Agidigbo Imadu in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State.

Ighalo will miss Super Eagles next game which is against the Zambia in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier. His dad’s funeral will hold on Saturday, October 8 on the eve of the clash.
