Crystal Palace defender Pape Souare was involved in a horrific car crash on London’s M4 today, and was immediately airlifted to hospital once the paramedics arrived.
The Senegalese international, who signed for Palance in 2015 from Lille, was involved in the two-car collision yesterday, after turning out for Palace in their 2-1 win over Boro on Saturday.
Such was the wreckage that Souare had to be cut out of the vehicle in order to save time and get him to hospital as soon as possible.
The image does not look good, but thankfully his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and he is believed to be in a stable conditon.
The left-back has been a consistent performer for the south-Londoners, and is one of the first names on Alan Pardew’s team sheet each week.
