Boko Haram insurgents killed at least eight people and hoisted its flags in three villages near Chibok town in Borno State.

 The villages which are Kubirivour, Boftari and Kuburmbalah were attacked on Monday by the insurgents after over-powering them.


 According to residents, the insurgents who, after over-running them, slaughtered at least eight people, including a village elder, during the attack. Others sources said the militants were still in control of Malam Fatori town, on the Nigeria-Niger border.

However, recall that the Nigerian Army, Tuesday, equally said it’s Troops prosecuting the war on terror repelled attacks by the terrorists group in two Borno villages resulting in a gun fight that left most of the terrorists escaping with gunshot wound.

Giving details of the confrontation, Army Spokesman, Col Sani Usman said, “On Monday, at about 5.00pm suspected elements of Boko Haram terrorists, scavenging for food, attacked Kwang village and Vigilantes from Dagu (which is about 4 kilometres from Kwang), responded and repelled the terrorists attack. “During the fire fight that ensued, one of the vigilantes sustained gunshot wound on his hand and was evacuated to General Hospital Uba while the terrorists fled with gunshot wounds.

  2. The truth is that the army are only in group places guarding while Boko haram select which soft group to attack and gets more ammunition. They have enough food. After they attack and have gone the army now goes there to clear any soul that are already traumatised by Boko haram. Then the village will be no more. The soldiers are not going after them but vice versa.

  4. It is difficult to defeat the defeated and much more difficult to kill ghosts. It is high time Buhari employed the services of ghost hunters to defeat this technically defeated boko haram.
    Deceits from government about the real situations have led us here. The way out is truth and prayers!
