In a statement by Dayo Adeyeye, its spokesman, the party said that the rail project launched by Buhari on Tuesday was “conceptualised by the Olusegun Obasanjo administration, and successive PDP administrations of President Umaru Yar’Adua and Goodluck Jonathan commenced work and built the project to 99 percent completion”.
“The only work done by President Muhammadu Buhari on the project was yesterday’s commissioning,” read the statement.
“The truth, which history will bear out, is that the PDP in its 16 years of rule successfully completed numerous projects that substantively changed the infrastructural landscape of Nigeria.
“Every one of those 16 years were years of great productivity with remarkable landmark achievements. This is very much unlike the APC which has already wasted one full year without even scratching one square meter of ground anywhere in the country.”

Candidly, this PDP and it's members should be buried in shame and infact not suppose to utter any word. Imagine, you did one single project for almost 16 years in between three (3) sitting presidents without completeion and u ppl are still making noise? u ppl have no shame @ all. that's shows the level of corruption in PDP's government. My question to PDP is that: If you actually finish this project to 99% (job done to 99% is completed already), what stop's PDP from commissioning such project during ur tenure in office? as you know it would have been a plus for PDP? secondly, when will nigeria become developed if only we finish one single rail project in 16 years in between 3 presidents? Haba, let's be sincere with ourselves for once now... Kudos to this administration that finish ur job and ensure sustainability of projects because another administration will have just shove it aside thus abandon it and that has been killing our country.

PDP continue to display their ignorance for comparing their 16 wasted years with 1 year of APC Government of change. APC will still complete 60% East West road project abandoned by PDP.
