Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs has on Friday warned Muslims against fighting even when they are provoked.
Abubakar who made the statement while speaking at a conference organised by Da’wah Co-ordination Council of Nigeria also warned Muslim clerics against preaching about hate and also urged them to “not force anybody to join Islam”. He said, “when somebody or a group or some other nations decide to stop us from performing our religious obligations”.
“We must never take laws into our hands. We must not be law officers. We do not do that in Islam,” he said. “We do not force anybody to join Islam.
There is no compulsion in Islam. Our good deeds, good actions and good interactions as Muslims will give that very bright light to everybody what Islam is and that is what brings people to join us. “Those who do not want to come as Muslims are free to stay with us and continue working with us to make this country a much better place. “Whoever wants to fight you, do not fight him; leave him alone. Be very patient.
The only thing that will make me to act or ask you to act is only when somebody or a group or some other nations decide to stop us from performing our religious obligations.
That is the only way we can fight somebody. “But if I am allowed to pursue my religious obligations, say my prayers and pay my zakat and so many other things, I have no problem with anybody. To you, your religion and to me, my religion.”

An Hadith in the Quran says, if you have any doubt in the Quran which I give to you, go and read the Bible or ask the people who read the Bible.

Mr man,you are a misleading hypocrite. Before Qur'an are three books given to three Prophets. Dauda- zaabura, Musa-ataura and Isa (Jesus)- injila. Non of this books exist in its original form today. The Bible you see today is the adulterated version of injila. All of them are Muslims including Jesus (Isa (AS)). No need to illucidate further because you are not having original book to argue with me.

To prove that anonymous 8:34pm is not knowledgeable at all, 'there is no hadith in Qur'an' as he said. Hadith is different from Qur'an for ur info. Also anonymous 10:13am has said it all and you must note that this verse is not reffering to ur new testament bible which is adultrated and full of omissions and contradictions with other types of new testament bible. Mind u, other previous prophets including Jesus preached islam that was the reason the verse is referencing to Zabura and Injil (the true and old testament bible). and not only bible as the anonymous 8:34pm intentionally misquooted. I encourage ppl to alway verify and not listen to ignorant ppl like anonymous 8:34pm.

Quran exposed the Corruption of Previous Scriptures
The Qur'an describes the behaviour of unfaithful Christians and Jews as liars :
1, Quran 2:140 ''Do you say that Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs were Jewish or Christian? Say, "Do you know better than GOD? Who is more evil than one who conceals a testimony he has learned from GOD? GOD is never unaware of anything you do."
2, Teaching falsely and forgetting what they had heard from their scripture:
Quran 3:78 Among them are those who twist their tongues to imitate the scripture, that you may think it is from the scripture, when it is not from the scripture, and they claim that it is from GOD, when it is not from GOD. Thus, they utter lies and attribute them to GOD, knowingly.
5:13 It was a consequence of their violating the covenant that we condemned them, and we caused their hearts to become hardened. Consequently, they took the words out of context, and disregarded some of the commandments given to them. You will continue to witness betrayal from them, excepting a few of them. You shall pardon them, and disregard them. GOD loves those who are benevolent.
3, Wanting profit from the scriptures:
3:187 GOD took a covenant from those who received the scripture: "You shall proclaim it to the people, and never conceal it." But they disregarded it behind their backs, and traded it away for a cheap price. What a miserable trade.
4, Some of the Jews who were transgressors and did not know the Book wrote false scripture:
2:59 But the wicked among them carried out commands other than the commands given to them. Consequently, we sent down upon the transgressors condemnation from the sky, due to their wickedness.
2:78-79 Among them are gentiles who do not know the scripture, except through hearsay, then assume that they know it.
2:79 Therefore, woe to those who distort the scripture with their own hands, then say, "This is what GOD has revealed," seeking a cheap material gain. Woe to them for such distortion, and woe to them for their illicit gains.

At least, more of these are what we expect from Islamic leaders.
