Super Eagles Echiejile and Ikeme Mourn Istanbul Terrorist Attacks Victims



Super Eagles players Elderson Echiejile and Carl Ikeme have joined millions around the world to mourn victims of the terrorist attacks at Turkey's Istanbul main airport on Tuesday.


Over three dozen people were reportedly dead while 147 were wounded from the aftermath the attacks.

Super Eagles and AS Monaco defender Elderson Echiejile took to Twitter to console the victims.

He wrote: "Lets pray and unite against terror!" #PrayForTurkey #EUE3.

While Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme condemned the atrocious acts of violence.

Ikeme tweeted: "So sad about the news in Turkey. When these happens in other parts of Europe we would hear of it constantly. Let's not forget all the world is dealing with terror problems."

According to the Associated Press, three terrorist attackers arrived in a taxi and began firing at the terminal entrance late on Tuesday before blowing themselves up after police fired back.

One Iranian and an Ukrainian have been confirmed dead.
