APC will not rule Rivers again - Fayose

Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose has boasted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not rule Rivers State again.

The Ekiti controversial governor was among the guests that witnessed the project unveiling by Governor Nyesom Wike as one of the activities marking his one year in office.

Speaking during commissioning of Bishop Okonye roads completed by Governor Wike’s administration, Governor Fayose said those squandering Rivers money are gone, stressing that Governor Wike has enough energy which he said he (Governor Wike) is using to deliver on his promises.

However, Governor Wike yesterday commissioned Eliozu-Rumuduru Oru-Igwe roads, Eneka-Rumukpokwu road, Bishop Okonye road, Azikiwe road, Mandela road and Rumuaholu.

Addressing the residents and traders at Bishop Okonye road, a popular market road in Port Harcourt, governor Wike said will never tolerate any road trading at the street.

  6. Election Rigging of the 2014 Ekiti Governor Election

On 20 June 2014, Captain Sagir Koli from the 32nd Artillery Brigade stationed in Ekiti State, accompanied his Commanding Officer, Brigadier General Aliyu Momoh to a meeting at the Spotless Hotel in Ado-Ekiti. The meeting was attended by Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti, Senator Iyiola Omisore; a man identified as a member of the National Assembly Abdulkareem; the former Minister for Police Affairs Caleb Olubolade, the then Minister of Police Affairs Jelili Adesiyan and Senator Musiliu Obanikoro who was the Minister of State for Defence. Captain Sagir Koli made an audio recording of that meeting, which was then made public by the online news website Sahara Reporters, on 5 February 2015.

  9. His Airport of international standard is about to be completed in his State. Then all flights for Muritala International Airport would be diverted there. The above is just on a lighter mood. On a more serious note, Fayose is not a person to be taken seriously. What would happen if APC takes over rulership of River State? Just recently this same Fayose said the abduction of Chibok girls was not real but a political gimmick. The discovery of one or two of those girls if you ask him I think he would still say it's a political gimmick. A good leader ought to be trustworthy and be taken for his words. He needs to change his ways to be able to leave a good legacy behind. A word is enough for the wise.
