Ojekudo in Port Harcourt said that the corporal punishment the governor meted out to the state civil servants, especially directing them to kneel down was not necessary.
Fayose was reported to have ordered the workers to kneel down for reporting late to work in Ado Ekiti.
Ojekudo noted that the governor’s action was not only crude but condemnable and said such humiliation should not be taken kindly.
“For a governor elected by the people to punish workers, is the height of torture, torment and intimidation.
“The matter should not be left just like that; he was elected for the good of the people only to humiliate them.’’
According to Ojekudo, the children of affected workers will feel bad seeing their parents and guardians on television kneeling down.
He, however, said the workers in the first place, should not have obeyed the governor’s ‘’crude’’ order. (NAN)

You just jump and if care is not taking you will crash this people came late and the governor caught them and they are pleading for their wrong maybe you are one of the people sent out by APC , instead of you to vent your anger on Buhari who has refused to give you people an appointment !!!

The posture I am seeing is one of pleading and not of one been punished. If the children of a late coming father see their repentant parents on their knees, they will learn the need for punctuality. It is odd to visit government office at 10am only to be told a government official is yet to resume. At 11am, the same official is on break to resume 2pm and close at 3:30pm.

Anybody could desperately do that to save his job. More also, yoruba people are quick in doing that as part of their culture for respect and show of repentance
People need to be checkmate and call to order and l support him for doing that. but doing the right thing in the right way
APC propaganda is always very childish and stupid. My elder sister was among the late comers caught and she honestly told me that the governor never asked them to kneel down but that on their own volition and out of fear of being sacked, knelt and lay down to plead for mercy. Please , let's stop this disgusting Nigerian kind of politics and call a spade a spade. The public is hereby encouraged to find out the truth before being confused by the lying and despicable sycon panic party of rabble rousers. Thank you.
