The immediate past Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Col. Sam Inokoba (rtd), is dead.
He was 68.
Inokoba, who recently dumped the party he led for over three years for the All Progressive Congress (APC) reportedly died in Lagos Wednesday morning.
Prior to his demise, Inokoba was said to have obtained the nomination and expression of interest forms to contest the APC governorship primary in Bayelsa.
While some said he died of heart attack, others attributed his death to food poison.
His remains had been deposited at the morgue of the Military Cantonment Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos.
