Governor Nyesom Wike Appoints 12 Permanent Secretaries




Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, southern Nigeria, has appointed 12 persons as Permanent Secretaries into the state civil service.

They are: Dr. Adolphus Nweke from Etche local government; Mrs. Abiye Tobin-West from Asari/Toru; Dr. Nkor Felix, Gokana LGA, James Enebeli of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni; Anthony Nweyilobu, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni and Sir Alawari Ndu, of Obio/Akpor.

Others are Dr Agiriye Harry, Degema LGA; Mrs Caroline Wali of Obio/Akpor; Felix Odungweru of Port Harcourt LGA; Dame Josephine Chukwuigwe of Ikwerre LGA; Mrs Helen Peter of Ogu/Bolo LGA and Mrs Florence Fiberesima, Okrika LGA.



Mrs Fiberesima is the Secretary of Judicial Commission of Inquiry recently inaugurated to probe former Governor Chibuike Amaechi of alleged corruption charges, while her husband was a few weeks ago appointed General Manager of Radio Rivers.

In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Sir Opunabo Inko-Taria, all the appointed persons are to be sworn in by the Governor on 7 August at the Executive Council Chambers of Government House, Port Harcourt by 12 noon.

    2. Rutts, You must have been an APC bigot or not residing in Rivers state for this your comment. Or you are blind to see the positive change in the state since the assumption of Wike . The difference is clear not the media packaged Amaechi after he derailed from performance after joining APC
