Tinubu, Akande absent at APC NEC meeting

The National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is absent at the ongoing meeting of the National Executive Committee, NEC meeting of the party in Abuja.

Also, former interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande was also not present at the meeting.

Both leaders of the party have apparently not hidden their dissatisfaction with the national assembly leadership election held on June 9.

The elections eventually plunged the party into crisis, eliciting verbal attacks and cold war amongst leaders of the party.

Early this week, Akande wrote a controversial open letter where he alleged a conspiracy of the north against the south west, warning that the party may lose future elections if the crisis was not nipped in the bud.

The letter has generated reactions within and outside the party.

More details later.

  1. Better, they don't need to show up. Tinubu stuck his neck out for these miscreants.. He deserves some respect.

  2. They joking with Tinubu. If they think BAT has nothing to offer let them continue.
2015 election has come and gone but remember also there is 2019.
Tinubu may not contest any elective post but his power in the Nigeria south-west can not be toy with.
If any one think he is nothing try ignoring him.

You think with your eye and react with your anus. You are too sentimental. Thank God I am not a Yoruba person and I will never be one. I am a pure Nigerian.
If you have been reading my commentary you will know where I belong to, definitely not kpidikpi. The same you and fayose who wish my president PMB death the same wishing me and BAT death, your prayer will never manifest. Come 2019, me and BAT go stand gidigba for the same party. You have what I will describe as a person suffering from BRAI WAVE

    5. Sometimes I laugh at the kind of post I read here. Someone is saying Tinubu's power in the southwest cannot be toyed with... I guess he means power to rig election in the southwest. Because from the democratical point of view the power to win election is in the hands of the people and not in one man; therefore Tinubu should not be seen as a god.

  7. The Yoruba subtereneousily comers the booties of Biafra/Nigeria civil war while north was living in the euphoria of being the rulers. The same hangups have presented themselves in the past elections and the north is wiser. The north will gradually ease the Yoruba & their slave northern minorities out. I firmly believe the sabotour Yoruba played will come back to hunt them unless the go back to their former demand for fiscal federalism

  10. When will southerners learn that a "mallam" is not stupid or that the notion of ONE NIGERIA is a scam to keep the southerners in check...
Ojukwu saw this scam and tried to tear it but is fellow southerners like Awo quickly betrayed him...
OK what happened later...Awo was blocked by the Mallam...Abiola was blocked by the mallam...Jonathan was rigged out by the mallam....Now Tinubu after working so hard is now being ridiculed by the mallam.....the southern people keep saying that Mallam is a "malu" or "mugu".....abeg check well and see who be MUGU

  11. Unfortunately, Nigerians do not have a reading culture, especially the young ones.
The novel "Dogs of War" by Fredrick Forsyth clearly shows why the British are so interested in Nigeria. This novel should be compulsorily recommended for secondary and tertiary institutions in Nigeria..so that our young ones and leaders of tomorrow will know that the Europeans are our greatest enemy...Up to now, the British still DIVIDE US TO RULE US ...why was Buhari visiting 10 Downing St during his campaigns?
