Keshi tells Nigerians to leave him alone

Sacked Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has told Nigerians to leave him alone after being relieved of his duties by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) at the weekend.

Speaking yesterday, the former Togo and Mali coach begged soccer fans to allow him rest with his family in the United State of America as he was no longer in charge of the national team.

Keshi urged fans to direct their questions on the Eagles to the assistant coach of the team, Abdulahi Yusuf, who will now work with head coach Shuaibu Amodu on an interim basis until a substantive coach is engaged by the NFF.

“Please, I want Nigerians to leave me alone and allow me spend time with my family. The only thing on my mind now is to be with my family and I don’t want to be bothered with any matter associated with the Super Eagles.

“‘I want people to understand that I do not have anything on the Super Eagles. The only thing I want to do is be with my loved ones. Direct all your questions to Yusuf or whoever is coaching the team”, added the former Eagles captain.

  2. Is it a crime to look for better offer than the present job ? Well, I think Keshi know what to do by going to Court of Arbitration for Sports. NFF will surely pay up for his payment.

  3. Keshi is a greedy coach, otherwise I expect him to resign immediately after he won the cup of nation for Nigeria. Note he was humiliated before the final of that tournament, when the NFA was purported to have arranged for his early return before the end of the tournament,
Some say he was begged by the then president Jonathan. He is more interested in what he start to gain (money) he is not smart at all, just because he loves money and not Nigeria.
He asked for it so he deserves the embarrassment more than 100%.
He should go we don't need him.
He is a man that does not no when to quit when the ovation is loudest.
Siasia seems to be more clever than he is though not better.

Now you can go and coach Agbim,Ameobi and the rest you allegedly cut a deal with. Osaazie that you said did not play well is at least playing for his cl UB till now.Good luck!.

  5. Keshi is a fool that failed to leave when the ovation was loudest. Yet he stayed till he was disgraced out. Good riddance. However, NFF should be probed.
