IN PICTURES: Biafra Opens Embassy In Spain

An Embassy of Biafra has been opened in Victoria, Spain. “It is another milestone in our drive towards Biafra’s restoration,” said a Radio Biafra broadcast from London monitored in Lagos by News Express.

The embassy, set up by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was opened on Saturday, Feb. 28, by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Director of Radio Biafra, London.

In a prayer at the event, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said: “We your children are gathered here in Vitoria Basque country O’Lord of Hosts, to do that which you have divinely mandated us to do. Today here in Northern Spain we open yet another chapter in this relentless effort to restore your kingdom upon the face of this earth. For the journey mercies you have granted us from all over the world here gathered we remain eternally grateful. From all over the world we have come to establish a firm base in this land from where your will must be done. This year belongs to us Biafrans because in the end all glory and honour will be yours and yours alone. Iseee!”

An elated Mazi Kanu yesterday expressed gratitude to God for the success of the event, writing on his Facebook page:

“To the most gracious almighty Chukwu Abhiama do we owe all that we are for this journey mercy granted to all hard core Biafrans that attended IPOB mission opening ceremony in Vitoria Basque Country in Spain. Magnificent and merciful creator of the universe, even if we worshipped you from now till eternity we still would not be able to repay you for the grace you have shown we Indigenous People of Biafra for guiding us back to our respective destinations. For those we left behind please guide them to their families in safety that in the end as always all honour and glory will be yours and yours alone because only you is worthy of praise.

Your children have asked me to come to Amsterdam Netherlands from where your redeeming gospel of restoration will be preached tonight to the hearing of humanity. Abide with us Heavenly Father as you have always done for we are nothing without you. This family here shall find peace as they all desire that indeed your kingdom Biafra may come on this earth as it is heaven…..Iseee!”

  8. When a part of a country decides to exit the union either to join another country or be autonomous, it often leads to needless war. This is what is happening in Eastern Ukraine now. I have no problems with Ibos wanting to leave Nigeria. Let them have a referendum and if majority of Ibos want independence, no need to fight - let them leave peacefully. The Scots tried it recently. The rest of the United Kingdom did not fight them, they were simply asked to vote among themselves to know if indeed majority wanted to leave the Union. It turned out that majority wanted to remain part of UK. If it had been otherwise, the British government would have let them go peacefully.

  9. I also think that nigeria as a nation is an unholy union and the fault is that of the british in 1914! That said,it will only be d wise thing to conduct a referrendum amongst the igbos to determine their mindset! No need for abusive words or war!

  10. An inclusive referendum is the answer. A few angry people cannot represent the will of everybody. Let common sense prevail and the whole Igbo population at home and abroad should organise an inclusive referendum. It is a matter of YES or NO, similar to Scotland in the United Kingdom.

Anybody can open an embassy and Biafra embassy is a social club.

  12. I c no reason y it's a problem if d Igbo pple wants to leave d Nigerian union. Let me quickly add that no one should compare d Igbo people in any way to B.haram. U should know that d Igbo pple r not eveil but B.Haram r. D Igbo pple do not kill innocent pple 4 their request but B.Haram does...Countless nos of evil act with B.Haram but no evil act toward d wish of d Igbos.
Off course there has 2 be a referendum including all Igbos and not few. Oweva, d movement toward that has to start to develop momentum. And dis is exactly what I bliv is taking place right now.
U may think my support of their wish is bcos I'm an Igbo man....welll far from it. I'm not in anyway close 2 b an Igbo man, I just happened 2 comment on wat I bliv is right. Tell me, ow long shall we continue in a union dat is highly corrupt, does not care abt d survival of d masses but care 4 d few dat continue 2 loot d treasury, careless 4 security of life of its citizenry, does not account 4 d union's wealth, etc and want 2 remain in it? Let me tell u, if d Igbo wants 2 leave let them leave and organize a better country 4 itself. Nigerian is 2 corrupt and need 2 disintegrate one way or the other. I I pray it does in a peaceful way. If any current govt does not allow a peaceful disintegration, dat can only mean a govt dat does not allow d rule of law.

  13. Biafra is coming, we are just waiting for something we can not let you know for now.
I have found out that the name 'Igbo' represents, oneness, unity, love, peace, God fearing, unrelenting effort, progress even in the most difficult environment, blessed of the Almighty God and special race upon the earth.
I wish to come from this unique race, if God grants me 2nd opportunity.

  15. I wholeheartedly support the right of any section of Nigeria to self determination. It is an inalienable, God given right. Why the rest of Nigeria opposed to this issue is what I cannot understand because every sane south easterner is in support of this noble project. Some persons have addressed the south easterner as parasites, the only logical thing to do to a parasite is to expunge it... Let My People Go....

  16. May God help us to get it peacefuly
