(Jega officially declares Buhari winner of the 2015 presidential election)


INEC chairman Prof. Jega has declared Gen Muhammed Buhari winner of the 2015 presidential election having certified the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes in the election. 

Jega said the two candidates fulfilled the requirement of the law regarding satisfying a national spread of votes scored. Buhari scored at least 25 per cent in 27 states and FCT while incumbent President Jonathan recorded at least 25 per cent of votes scored in 26 states of the federation

President Goodluck Jonathan has congratulated the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on his victory in the Saturday’s presidential election.

NigerianEye gathered from a top government official that Jonathan had called Buhari on the telephone to congratulate him.
According to our source, President Goodluck Jonathan made a telephone call at exactly 5:15pm to Buhari in Abuja, Jonathan assured him of maximum cooperation and smooth transition.

HAPPENING NOW!!! - (11:34am) - PDP is currently attempting to disrupting the announcement of the remaining result,

The PDP agent at the National Collation center, Elder Godswill Orubebe is currently attacking the INEC chairman, Athhairu Jega.

The PDP agent alleged that APC sent a petition about irregularities in Rivers which INEC is currently investigating, while INEC is yet to respond to the petition sent by PDP on Kano, Kastina and Jigawa

Orubebe accused the INEC chairman of being partial and tribalistic and ordered the INEC chairman to meet him at his office.

Mr Orubebe has currently embarrassing Nigeria on national TV, as he is currently screaming as he promised to stop the announcement of further results.

However Mr Jega has currently responded that he did not declare any unannounced results, and warned PDP's Mr Orubebe who is a former minister for power and former Niger Delta minister to conduct himself properly in public.

  12. Jonathan lost this election at least 2 years before now. It started with the various wars he fought and culminated in the 16 greater than 19 saga plus First lady's impunity. Perhaps his loss will awaken a better political consciousness.

  40. JEGA has succeeded in rigging the election to his fellow brother. How can a Professor Vice Chancellor that is under the employment payroll of a state government Dutse University happens to be the returning officer for Jigawa state. Why did him go to Lagos and collate result.
    Lets God's will be done as for us human we dont know what the future lies between Jonathan or Buhari. Jonathan is a woman if not how can you accept a result like that of Kano state.
