APC Bashes the PDP over ThisDay Advertorial

A party with no scruples.

Today, we mark another epoch failure of a party of unscrupulous people who lack any sense of decency and empathy to the people they claim to want to serve. When a group of individuals in their quest for power goes all out, remove every border and boundaries of accountability and responsibility to gain and control the minds of the people through wanton lies and half-truth propagandas, we see a clear exhibit of an evil, desperate and despicable power hungry socio-paths; believers of power must be gained by any means possible.

The depth to which PDP, a party that has shown time and time again that it lacks any sense of social etiquette and decency reached an all-time low with the recent advert they placed in ‘THISDAY”newspaper of March 16th 2015 where they took a son’s loving tribute to a departed father, twist it and falsely tries to use it to score cheap political points against the person of General Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential aspirant of All Progressive Congress (APC).

Major Daniel Idowu Bamidele, a brilliant, career driven military officer was tried, found guilty of being an “Accessory After The Facts” during the Major Gideon Orka coup and was sentenced to death alongside some of Nigeria’s finest military minds including Major General Mamman Vasta by the General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida appointed military tribunal. He was executed on the 5th of March 1986.

His son Remi Bamidele took to his page on Facebook and paid a loving tribute to the memory of his father on the 5th of March 2015, PDP, the grovelling social media scavengers

that they have become, while stalking innocent Nigerians online saw this tribute and in their warped thinking decided to use it as a propaganda tool against General Muhammadu Buhari, who was nowhere near the seat of power when this unfortunate incident occurred.

Without seeking for permission from the Bamidele’s who are in mourning having recently lost their mother and had just buried her in February; PDP campaign team placed a full page advert in a national newspaper using the unfortunate and sad story of this quiet private

Nigerian family, used the photo of Major Bamidele his son uploaded and went further to write a false quote from one of the daughters.

To say that the family was devastated was an understatement. No one deserves such unkindness; here is a family who had been callously dealt with by the Nigerian State, being exploited again without any scruples by the same State for their selfish reasons.

PDP has proven time and time again that they do not care about the people; all they are interested in is power and how to remain in power, a case of taking someone’s intellectual material, twist it and use it without taking permission from the owner is clear a reflection of their socio-political ideology of “By any means necessary” and “Corruption is not stealing”philosophy. They fight dirty and will pull every and anybody down with them into the abyss of their rancid existence.

The Bamidele family have decided to sue the newspaper (and deservedly so) that carried the shameful advert and also pursue legal redress from PDP.

PDP must understand that in every sane society there is a level of decorum that defines how we live and there’s a point we should never cross and that is using other people’s misfortunes for their personal gains.

Their rabid, virulently vapid campaign communication strategies has clearly shown that PDP as a party is peopled by the very lowest of minds and intellects, men of criminal intents and pathological liars and Nigerians should be weary of every single one of them.

March 28 is a day of decision, make your choice wisely.

When our dear president and chief resident of one of the most corrupt political party upon the face of the earth stated that his political ambition is not worth a single blood of the Nigerian people, not many believed this, given that he’s a man well known for never keeping his promise.

  4. In all same Jonathan has become the best President the country has ever had. He gave you a voice to speak. If it was previous Govt. a lot of you would have been mute by now.Just consider the facts and figures.

    3. My dear don't be shallow minded. Yes even Abacha at a time gave some people a voice to speak, but that is not the issue. The issue here is that this kind of advertorial should not be put up by a sane person. It is totally nefarious and should not be allowed any further. Do not be sentimental. Always try to say the truth.

    4. since we are new to democracy we have not been able to know what are rights are.A president provides infrastructure he becomes messiah uses are common wealth to campaign we see it as His right.Nigerian we should think above all this sentiment and ask ourselves are we really where we are if we cast our mind back 16yrs?

  5. PDP has brought out clear facts and figures of corruption against APC leaders, which they have not denied. APC leaders too should bring out concrete evidence of corruption (in facts and figures) against Jonathan, not just general allegations.

    2. Are you not in Nigeria? The evidence of GEJ corruption are too much to list. For example, Ibori was a free man in Nigeria but he is currently in UK jail where criminals belong. Another example is that GEJ pardoned Alameghesegha after his criminal behaviour. The Oduagate saga, pension scam, etc are other examples. There are numerous uncompleted and abandoned road projects in the country.

GEJ spent so much trillion money on electricity but still no electricity. Do you have stable and uninterrupted electricity where you live in Nigeria? Do you use generator? Do not be deceived by GEJ and his scam projects.

Good state governors are now repairing federal roads in their individual states and the federal government has refused to refund monies used for the repairs. That is GEJ scam tactics.

  6. PDP have no intelligent people amongst them, just men of criminal mind intents. They don't care about your feeling, they lack empathy. All they are interested in is how to get back to power.

  8. Urmmmm I thought it was IBB who had Major Idowu executed.....

A daughters Plea Written by Bimbo Bamidele
In October 1983, My father heard rumors of a planned coup against
President Shehu Shagari,s government. My father immediately reported
this information to his GOC (General Officer in Command) who was
Brigadier Mohammed Buhari, who was ironically the master planner of the
    coup.

My father was arrested a week later, and detained at DMI(Directorate of
Military Intelligence) and he was accused of plotting a coup against the
Shagari regime. Fake witnesses were paraded to give false statements
against him. While the real coup plot was going on underground with the
full involvement of the same DMI group of officers that was
    interrogating my father.

After a month, he was released based on the fact that there was no legal
basis to charge him for a "one man coup conspiracy"
I remember the day my father came back home. Our house was flooded with
relatives, friends and neighbors. I could feel the tension in the air
when he arrived, tears of happiness, joy and relief was pouring down
    from my mum’s eyes.

I remember seeing my father’s bruised back and arms due to the savage
beatings he received in the detention cell, just because he wanted to be
a good soldier that loved democracy and civil rule, and even if he was a
military officer, he was not in support of a military regime taking
    over a stable civilian government.

Then on the 1st of January 1984, Brigadier Buhari (My father’s GOC that
he reported the rumor of a coup) was announced as the new Head of State.
Everything now became clear to my father as to why he was arrested for
    reporting about a coup.
He was later transferred from jos,Plateau state to Command and Staff
    College Jaji, Kaduna state.

Two years after, he was arrested again for allegedly knowing about the
Phantom-vatsa-coup and not reporting to his superiors.
A Special Military Tribunal was set up and my father was convicted and
sentenced to death by firing squad.
I remember that day, 5th of March 1986. General Domkat Bali came on air
and read out the list of names. 10 officers!!! 10 fathers!!! 10
    breadwinners!!!
And he adds,” Have been Secretly Executed 1 hour earlier"

Then 14 years after, On the 22nd of May, 2006. General Domkat Bali
grants an interview with THE NEWS magazine, that whatever evidence the
panel had against mamman vatsa and the 9 other officers were weak, and
his only regret was that he could not stop the execution from taking
    place.

Even when Mamman vatsa,s wife, my mother, and other widows pleaded to
IBB for their husbands corpses to be released to them, it all fell on
deaf ears, because IBB instructed that ACID should be poured on their
bodies and they should be given a mass burial.
IBB requested that the execution process should be recorded for him.

  9. Get your PVC ready for the election. If you do not want to continue to use generator for electricity, you know what to do.

Sharing dollars and N1000 notes is not the answer to unemployment. People need jobs, not free food.

  11. Pls. let whosoever published this in the dailies explain Buhari's fault. According to the story, the tactics used by Buhari is to save Major Bamidele's life. But the other coup happened during the regime of IBB, Buhari was not named in the coup, He was not in the military, not among the officers that presided over the tribunal! How then could his death now be blamed on Buhari. Now, IBB under whom the event took place is still alive, PDP did not call him to explain or scold him for the death of this major if truly PDP loves justice loves the family and funny enough, IBB is a card carrying member of PDP. PDP, Jonathan and all their supporters have lost the battle before reaching the battle line. This is the first time an incumbent is finding it very very tough to go into election against the opposition in the history of Nigeria. To win the favour of the masses is not when you give them money to vote for you, or share money or give money to obas to convince his subjects to vote for you. That era has gone since. What yopu do and what you stand for in the society that will campaign for you. Jonathan should confess if he had it this tough in 2011 when he was contesting. He disappointed all millions of Nigerians that voted him into power. Now, you want the same people to vote for you. Those that help you (GEJ) to plunder the economy, those generals in the army that you are dreaded of and were paid millions every month in order not to hijack power from you, and the members of your cabinets that you were looting the treasury together tell them to vote for you. Also, do not forget the Nollywood actors and actress that you gave 3 billion naira to vote for you. Let us see how their votes will deliver you! The Nollywood that are not up to 5000 in their entirety compared to the students in the universities (state and federal institutions) or government primary and secondary schools across Nigeria that you can use that money to educate. Pls. Mr. president and all his supporters in the house, I want you to tell us what effect/advantage has this wasteful spending brought to Nigeria? Since he has given them the money, has any Nigerian movie or actor been nominated for international award or OSCAR? Has it changed the quality of the movies they released into the market? or has it made the Nollywood actors and actresses to give Nigerians free copies of their movies to watch in our homes and knowing fully well that the source of this money is from the tax and resources Nigerians. Our hospitals are there, what can we say about it. agriculture is also there, It is sadden and ridiculous whenever the government are calling on western investors to come and invest in agriculture in Nigeria. We can no longer produce foods for our consumption not to talk o export to other countries. If US, Germany and other countries are just providing for their needs, surely, to eat rice in Nigeria must be a miracle. Do you know the number of tractors and harvester this money will buy if truly we want to re positioned our country in terms or agriculture. The ministry of agric is there doing nothing. university of agric is there turning out graduates that have no land to farm not to talk of going into mechanized farming. The number of graduates from these universities are more than enough to transform our agricultural sector. Let there be a change in all facets and strata of governance in Nigeria. We can't continue in a vicious circle like these!
