IN PICTURES: President Jonathan wears military uniform as he visits Nigerian troops in Baga, Mubi

In a bid to boast the moral of the Nigerian troops currently battling the Boko Haram sect in North-Eastern Nigeria, President Jonathan on Thursday visited in Mubi, Adamawa State and Baga, Borno State where he met with the troops who are fighting Boko Haram.

He applauded the troops for recapturing territories formerly held by insurgents. He said that he and all Nigerians were very proud of the bravery, competence and patriotism with which they were now undertaking operations to expel the insurgents from all parts of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa state.

    2. There is nothing to proof-read here. The saying above was made in a broken-English - If no be panadol, it can never be panadol if you prefer that. If not a soldier, he can never be a soldier, chikina. Why is General GEJ sitting on his walk-stick while addressing the others? If it were GMB, you people will say he is sick.

  2. I have a question sir. Tell me why you decided to wait till now to do this. I commend your courage just that you've lost my trust. Do your best to eliminate them and let Buhari continue

  3. If GEJ Had joined the Military, he would have been a fine soldiers in the likes of Abdulsalami Abubakar without dictatorial character. But am sure he would have carried out one of the World's most acceptable coup d'etat. I dey laugh ooo.

  4. It's a little too late. When it was obvious that the election is lost and won my president began the rat races. We can't be taken for granted any longer because Attahiru Jega has succeeded in returning sovereignty to Nigerian. From this moment never again will any leader rule us without our consent.

  5. The era of writing election results from hotel rooms is gone for good. If the only thing we achieve in voting you out is sending massages to our leaders is that we can democratically change them when they fail to deliver, then the process of building a new nation for the coming generation has began.

    1. Buhari destroyed democracy and set us back by many decades. GEJ restored hope on democracy which you have attested to by saying that the era of writing election results from hotel rooms is gone for good. Why then do you still hate this man? If JEGA is good, that is because GEJ never interfered. Just remember that GEJ has power to remove him. Think wisely.

    2. Why do I have feeling that if GEJ knew the solid electoral plan of Jega, he would have sacked him? Personally, I don't think Jega is working for GEJ, he is working for Nigeria.

    3. Jay Jay don't be fooled, GEJ can kick Jega out if he wants to, but fortunately GEJ is such a democrat and there's no such thing in him. He's also the reason you and I can talk trash at the authority today and not be hunted or murdered. Please give it up for GEJ, we have had non like him before! GEJ all the way for me .

  6. GOOD FOR THE SOLDIERS BUT BAD FOR JONA-JONA. MEDICINE AFTER DEATH. EVEN IF GOES TO WAR FRONT WITH THEM, IT IS TOO LATE ALREADY. IT IS JUST A GIMMICK. ALL IN THE NAME OF WINNING THE ELECTIONS. TOO BAD FOR PDP AFTER SIXTEEN YEARS AND TOO BAD FOR JONA-JONA AFTER WASTING ALMOST SIX YEARS IN POWER. Jay 2, Abuja.

  8. Thank you mr president for this visit. You have shown that our gallant soldiers are not alone in this battle against APC sponsored boko haram. Victoria shall come to the innocent. It is so shameful and disheartening that a congress that calls itself a political party can be sponsoring this blood thirsty rabid dogs just to gain power. It is also possible that this BH dogs will be integrated into the army if their chief sponsor assumes power and then NIGERIA will become Afghanistan and Somalia. God please save us.

  10. The lives and areas that held no value to you and your government months and years ago are now strangely top priority for you sir. That you think u may sway voters at the last minute with a display of superficial leadership is simultaneously laughable and insulting. What you tried to avoid on February 14 awaits you on March 28th.

  13. Fellow Sincere and Patriotic Nigerians on this Nigerianeye.com blog, I would like to congratulate you all.

This shows that the sincere and patriotic comments we make on Nigerianeye.com are being monitored by PDP and our sincere and patriotic comments are having the desired effect.

That is why, I would say that this effort on the part of GEJ/PDP is reactionary rather than being a proactive effort.

Remember that we all commented in various Nigerianeye.com articles last week, in which we all questioned the rationale of our CiC going about distributing scarce dollars to South West Chiefs and Monarchies in order to woo them rather than being with the so-called Security Chiefs fighting Boko Haram.

This action from GEJ/PDP is the reaction to our sincere and patriotic comments.

By this once again, fellow sincere and patriotic Nigerianeye.com bloggers, I say Congratulations.

Nigeria will indeed survive this inept Government, there shall indeed be change, our glory shall indeed return, Nigeria shall indeed be reckoned with among serious Nations.

God bless you all sincere and patriotic Nigeriaeye.com bloggers.

  19. Why is it the most people in Nigeria are so short sighted, the so called GEJ, went to see the brave men who are working to save Nigerian from Boko Haram, because election is around the corner, and that is the reason why they have to postpone the elections, so that he will be able to finish his acting movies, I strongly believe he is doing all this because of the election, after the election na (OYO) on your own. God help us.
