No right thinking Nigerian’ll vote Jonathan back to power — Buhari

All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) has said that no right thinking Nigerian would vote President Goodluck Jonathan again to power, affirming it would mean a sustenance of all that is presently wrong with the country.

The APC presidential candidate in a statement posted on his facebook page last night flayed supporters of the present administration of spreading a message of fear which he said was only because of their support of the very things that degrade the country.

The assertion came as the Buhari Campaign Organisation, BCO, yesterday pledged to present strong arguments why Buhari should become the country’s next president.

A statement by the newly appointed Director of Media, Dele Alake, said the combination of Buhari’s sterling military career and Prof. Yemi Osinbajo’s legal expertise would serve as an antidote to the insecurity and disorder now confronting the polity.

Gen. Buhari in his comment on facebook said:

“Those who are afraid of the change we seek are the people destroying our country and stunting its progress. They are the same people who spent four years in power without improving our electricity by a single megawatt, the same people who spent four years downgrading high-level corruption to common stealing, the same people who spent four years watching over terrorists desecrating our territorial sovereignty, the same people who spent four years without laying the critical infrastructure for sustainable growth and job creation; those same people are now asking you for four more years.”
“No right thinking Nigerian would wish that our next four years look like the last four. Change has to come, and it begins with you getting registered and spreading our message of change and hope, from sibling to sibling, family to family, neighbourhood to neighbourhood; in our schools, in our market places, in every community, and in every gathering.”

  1. Well this coming election in Nigeria would be the barometer for measuring the morality and sanity of Nigerians. If the blindly corrupt, morally bankrupt cabals and mafias that made up the party called PDP are allowed to buy their ways either directly through "short term stomach infrastructure" or indirectly by rigging to remain in power next February, then all Nigerians have themselves to blame

  4. Buhari, I thought you were more matured now. Why character assassination and campaign of calumny?. Attach the issues not the person. Was GEJ the creator of some offl these problems, where you not part of the people that created these problems. Did you and your haramiites not promised and made GEJ government ungovernable???. 2015 is not too far. You will fall with distinction, hausa cow.

It is like choosing between the devi, and the deep blue sea. It is so annoying that the option is between Jonathan and Buhari.

  10. Can a right thinking Nigerian vote Buhari into power? Remember, he ousted a democratically elected government through coup, he terminated so many lives extra-judicially, he put in place the religious crises from which we are suffering today. He then claimed to have changed now and he want to be elected through same democracy he ousted at gun point.
If Goodluck is bad, Buhari is worse.

  13. Stop lying, the electricity megawatts has increased from 2000 to 4500 since the present administration. On corruption, Nigeria is now ranked 134 in transparency instead of 144 before this present administration. On terrorism, we Nigerians know very well that you and your kinsmen are masterminding it to discredit the present Government. On infrastructure, we know that he has better initiatives in the rail system he is reviving, the bridges and road he is building, rehabilitation of airports waterway transportation, Agricultural production he is reviving and so on. Stop lying and tell us how you are going to make the change lets see if your own plans are better than the new administration before we can vote for you. Do not expect the Nigerian to take such risk and allow you take us back again.

Such people should cover their face in shame and they should remember that whatever benefit they are getting now will not last forever and their generation unborn will still come and have a taste or the sorrow trees that they are planting.

  22. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, the former US Secretary
of State in separate events in New York City
    said the Nigerian government under
    President Goodluck Jonathan, squandered its
    oil resources, and indirectly helps
corruption to fester in the troubled country.
Legislators on Capitol Hill have also called
for the United States to do more to help the
    Nigerian government.
Clinton also blasted wider decisions made
by the Nigerian government during the
public interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts.
“ Nigeria has made bad choices, not hard
choices” Clinton said, parroting the name of
    her forthcoming memoir.
“They have squandered their oil wealth, they
have allowed corruption to fester and now
they are losing control of parts of their
territory because they wouldn’t make hard
    choices.”
In late April, heavily armed Islamic militants
stormed a girl’s dormitory at the
Government Girls Secondary School in the
Nigerian town of Chibok . Upwards of 270
students were kidnapped and days later,
Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau said in
a video statement that he planned to sell
them into slavery. More than 50 got away
and the remaining are the subject of the
    search.
    The kidnappings quickly gained
international attention by using the hashtag
    #BringBackOurGirls. The hashtag has been
used to update people on the state of the
search, but also to criticize the Nigerian
government for their handling of the
    kidnapping.
The Nigerian government has defend its
    handling of the matter.
The former secretory of state strengthened
her criticism of the Nigerian government
later in the night at the International Crisis
    Group’s annual award dinner.
“The Nigerian government has failed to
confront the threat or to address the
underlying challenges,” Clinton said of the
kidnappings. “Most of all, the government of
Nigeria needs to get serious about protecting
all of its citizens… and ensuring the every
child has the right and opportunity to go to
    school.”
Standing in front of high profile financiers
and donors at the opulent Waldorf Astoria,
Clinton went on to urge Nigerian citizens to
hold their leaders accountable and implored
religious leaders, Nigeria ’s neighbors, the
    African Union and the international
community to continue to stay involved in
    finding the schoolgirls.
“Every asset and expertise should be
brought to bear,” Clinton said. “Everyone
needs to see this for what it is, it is a gross
human rights abuse but it is also part of a
    continuing struggle within Nigeria and
    within North Africa.”
In addition to addressing the situation in
Nigeria , Clinton used much of her speech to
discuss her record at state and particularly
highlighted her work in opening the
    government of Burma. Republicans have
criticized Clinton for what they say is a lack
of notable accomplishments as America’s top
    diplomat.
    While Wednesday’s comments were
    Clinton’s first statements about the
kidnappings, the former first lady has joined
in on the social media campaign, too.
Clinton has joined in on the social media
    campaign, too.
“Access to education is a basic right & an
    unconscionable reason to target innocent
girls. We must stand up to terrorism.
#BringBackOurGirls,” she tweeted on May 4

  30. You probably do not understand the difference between issue based and character assassination. Buhari has just discussed on issues regarding GEJ's administration such as Power, Security, Infrastructural Development etc. He has not called Jonathan a clueless idiot, or a shoe-less retard. This is the difference between issue based and character assassination. Go back to school and study English Language.
